Storytime at the Louis Bay 2nd Library!
Our Storytime is a well loved and fun time in the Children’s Room! Our Storytime programs run for 4 to 5 week sessions and require registration. Once you have registered for the first class, your child will be registered and be expected to attend all the classes in that time slot. If your child is unable to attend a single class, please call the Children's Room (973-427-5745 x20) to let us know; do not cancel your registration as this will completely remove your child from all future classes during that session.
We have sessions for the following age groups: 18-24 months old, 2-3 years old, 4-5 years old, Kindergarten through 1st Grade, and 2nd through 3rd Grade.

Children from 18 months old through 24 months are welcome to come and enjoy
stories and crafts with Mrs. Ryerson in the Children’s room!
Parents accompany their child as we read picture books and do very simple crafts to
promote early motor skills and provide a safe space to begin socializing with other
children their age.
Children from 2 through 3 years old are welcome to come and enjoy stories and
crafts with Ms. Ellie in the Children’s room!
Parents accompany their child as we read picture books and do crafts to promote
early motor and listening skills while creating a foundation for them to learn how to
behave in a classroom setting.
Children from 4 through 6 years old are welcome to come and enjoy stories and
crafts with Ms. Hestvik in the Children’s room!
Children will participate on their own and listen as we read picture books and do
crafts to promote early motor and listening skills while reinforcing how to behave in
a classroom setting. They will also make a craft that they will be able to take home
with them.
Children from Kindergarten through 1st Grade are welcome to come and enjoy
stories and crafts with Ms. Hestvik in the Children’s room!
Children will participate on their own and listen as we read picture books and
discuss parts of the stories that appealed to them to help promote comprehensive
thinking skills. They will also make a craft that they will be able to take home with
them.
Children from 2nd through 3rd Grade are welcome to come and enjoy stories and
crafts with Ms. Hestvik in the Children’s room!
